It all started when we were talking about New Year's resolutions...

So, back in 2017, New Year's Eve to be exact, Ashley and I were talking about New Year's resolutions and how people don't usually keep them. We talked about how we want to travel more, but don't want it to just be a "resolution" that lasts a year.

Then we talked about different countries that we would like to travel to, but how there is still so much of the United States that we haven't seen. We talked about going to see the redwood trees in California and how much fun it would be to go to Yosemite. And just like that...the light bulb went off!

"We should go visit all of the National Parks!" The buzz started. "Yes! Let's do it!"

"How many National Parks are there?", we asked.

Neither of us knew...so, we looked it up. There are 58 National Parks (Ok, actually there are 60 see the Oct. 8, 2018 post to explain)! And those parks stretch from Maine to Puerto Rico to the Samoa Islands!

Right about then as Adria was going crazy with excitement, Ashley was getting anxious. "How will I afford to do this?", she said. "This is going to take forever!"

So, we made a commitment, (not a resolution) to try to do it in 12 years. If we succeed, Adria will be 60 when we are done. We'll see if we make it!

Then, Adria had another idea...we should blog our journey!

So, here we are, and we invite you to come with us either vicariously through our blog or literally if you are up for a little adventure. Either way! We can't wait to start, stay tuned to see where we go next!
